Americana Through The Decades

It's been a great journey working with my first ever Tween Model Team, The Junior Crew. These kids ranged from 12 to 14 years of age and applied to be part of this model team. As a shortened version of my senior rep team, I wanted to achieve not just beautiful portraits, but give them an opportunity to build their confidence, meet tweens from the surrounding area, make new friendships, and celebrate who they are right now. The experience consisted of 3 sessions: headshots and group pizza party, personal sessions, and the group stylized session. I can't wait to showcase each of these tweens' personal sessions. For now, I want share our group stylized session: Americana Through The Decades!

I wanted all things Americana. I don't know what screams Americana more than a retro gas station, vintage truck, and clothes to celebrate the different decades. Each Tween was styled in some of the iconic looks through the years. We ranged from the 50's swing dresses, to vintage baseball / softball, and even the 70's with bell bottoms and a cautious roller skater! These tweens had a blast and I loved seeing how much they enjoyed spending time with one another.

A huge thank you to the parents for all of their enthusiasm and help to pull off this amazing experience. To my tweens, thank you for making the past three months so memorable. I even checked off a few of my bucket list session ideas and my photographer heart is beaming!
