Fashion Forward - Miss Kylie Class of 2019

You have to love the power of social media. Thanks to the wonders of Instagram, this beautiful class of 2019 senior traveled 4.5 hours to have her senior portrait experience with the Candid Touch studio. I "sat down with" Kylie and her Mom over a skype call to design her session. Miss Kylie wanted something different, urban, and showed her love for all things fashion and makeup! I loved her enthusiasm and her willingness to try some ideas that were out of the norm. 

Thanks to the fantastic heat we've had this summer, Kylie's first session was rescheduled. 108 degree heat index will certainly make anyone's makeup melt! What could possibly happen next? One very fantastic storm rolled in right in the middle of Kylie's session. However, before we were caught in the middle of a down pour in the Historic Millwork District of Dubuque, we captured some truly dramatic portraits. The wind, the ominious clouds, the moody lighting, and a gorgeous young lady made for quite a memorable evening. 
The following morning we waited out a few more sprinkles and headed to the country. Kylie had requested a little "hollywood glamour" set amongst the trees. I love how her red dress popped amongst the forest background. It was certainly worth the wait. To end our session, I was allowed to get a little creative. I have wanted to do some senior "milk bath" sessions for so long and Kylie was up for the challenge. What a gorgeous way to show off her beautiuful makeup and make those gorgeous eyes pop but amongst pretty in pink florals. 

I want to thank Kylie and her parents for traveling so far and entrusting me with her Senior Portrait Experience. It was quite the adventure. What a good way to celebrate the ending of one chapter and the beginning of another?! Kylie, I wish you the best of luck in your future within the fashion industry. I have no doubts you will be successful.
