Happy Birthday Portrait Session

If you ask me, I can't think of a better way to celebrate your birthday than with 4 of your best friends, amazing new clothes, and a personalized portrait session! I may be a bit bias on last part, but seriously this session was fantastic. Miss Madisyn requested to have a best friend portrait session for her 13th Birthday. I mean, 13 is a big number and what better way to celebrate than to capture some awesome memories with your favorite people?! 

The first part of our adventure was a group shopping trip to Maurices of Platteville Wisconsin. Chelsie and her team did another amazing job coordinating and styling these girls for their portrait session. I loved the navy and mustard color scheme. Frankly, I wanted to buy all the outfits for myself, but these young ladies rocked their looks. I also learned a lot about shopping with 5 tween girls. Thank you again Maurices for doing an amazing job with these gorgeous young ladies!

Our session took us a little more urban to the Millwork District in Dubuque Iowa. It was cold but these young ladies were absolute troopers. They were loud, full of giggles, and kept me on my toes the entire session. We may have gotten a few crazy glances when we pulled off a fantastic pillow fight in a random alley! I mean, why not? We ended our evening with cupcakes for the birthday girl and her entourage. 

I loved working with these beautiful young ladies. Seeing their friendship from an outsiders perspective, I love how they are all so supportive of one another. Their energy together was refreshing and I hope they stay this close for many many years. Let's recreate this when Madisyn turns 21 and then again 40. I'm game if you girls are!
