Steampunk in the snow - Inspired Session

It's been a long winter, or so it seems, but who would have thought that in southwestern Wisconsin we'd be waiting on snow! My creative brain is always working and to say I have a list of ideas, themes, concepts, and techniques I want to try would be an understatement. It's more like a BOOK FULL OF IDEAS!

Steampunk has been something I've wanted to tackle for some time. I love anything detailed, over the top, and gives me the opportunity to get creative. What is steampunk? The spirit of steampunk is celebrating vintage fashion with a modern, sassy twist, and a touch of science fiction. It's a little crazy, it's a little over the top, and it's anything but ordinary. I have loved it from afar for so long and I finally decided to style a wardrobe that fit the vision in my head. Thankfully I had a trusting and willing model. From head to toe I love the style of these portraits and the snow lent an amazing and dramatic backdrop to set the "character" on fire.
