Tyler had it all with his senior portrait experience — dramatic lighting, fast cars, sports, and an adorable dog. His sessions were the perfect combination of intensity, personality, and fun, and I couldn’t be more thrilled with how everything came together.
We started at Belmont High School in the wrestling room, where Tyler brought his letterman’s jacket — covered in medals and full of pride. The dramatic lighting in the room made these portraits powerful and meaningful, capturing years of dedication and hard work.
Next, we headed to the football field, where we incorporated a seriously badass car — right out on the field. A first for me, and definitely one of the most unique sports setups I’ve photographed. Tyler kept it simple in his jersey and jeans, a laid-back look that matched the scene perfectly. The contrast of the car, the field, and Tyler’s relaxed confidence made these portraits stand out in the best way. (Big thanks to Grandma for providing her amazing car!)
From there, we made our way to Lake Joy — on a day that was barely 50 degrees. Tyler went ALL IN, stepping into the water in full football gear without a single complaint. These football water portraits are fierce, unforgettable, and full of passion. A huge thank-you to Lake Joy Campground for allowing us to use their space for such an epic moment.
Of course, Tyler didn’t stop there. He also took on the Green Screen Experience, and I was thrilled he did. Having an athlete who is willing to try bold ideas makes the experience so much fun — and the results were some of the most dramatic studio sports portraits of the year. We tackled both wrestling and football, and Tyler approached every challenge with commitment, precision, and the best attitude.
Last but not least was Tyler’s personal session. We visited a few urban locations and brought along his beloved English Bulldog — who, after a few bribery bites of hamburger, absolutely nailed it. Tyler’s laid-back yet edgy style fit the backdrop perfectly. From there, we traveled to an old bridge tucked in the valley, where the light was soft, warm, and completely magical. It was the perfect end to an incredible senior portrait journey — lots of laughter, the best energy, and some truly phenomenal images.
Tyler, thank you — and thank you to your wonderful family — for choosing me to capture this chapter of your life. It’s been such a pleasure getting to know all of you. I’ll be cheering you on from afar this wrestling season, and I can’t wait to see where your future takes you.
