Extended Family Photos at the Dubuque Arboretum

Some families just make my job easy, even when there are 19 people in front of my camera!

I've had the pleasure of photographing this extended family before, but since our last session, they've added a few more smiling faces to the bunch! From Grandma and Grandpa to the newest little addition, it was so much fun getting everyone together again.

Let's be real, photographing 19 people is no small task. But this crew? They were the absolute best kind of controlled chaos! Everyone showed up ready to have fun, with great attitudes, beautiful smiles, and plenty of laughter to go around.

We spent a gorgeous summer afternoon at the Dubuque Arboretum, surrounded by beautiful gardens and greenery. It was the perfect setting to capture everything from the whole extended family together to the smaller family groups and all those special connections in between.

What I loved most about this session was how naturally the laughter came. You could genuinely feel how much this family enjoys being together, and those are the moments I love capturing most.

Families grow, little ones get bigger, and life changes so quickly. Having everyone together in one place, making memories and capturing this chapter of their family's story, is something truly special.

And if every 19-person family session could be this much fun, I'd happily photograph them all day long!
