Class of 2026 Senior Pictures - April

Some seniors show up to their session with one dog… maybe two.
April showed up with three — Hank and Willow, her Old English Sheepdogs, and Ivy, her Standard Poodle — and I was in absolute heaven. Yes, there was a little chaos (the fun kind!), but eventually everyone looked right at the camera and smiled like the well-trained supermodels they are. These portraits of April and her dogs are some of my favorites of the year.

For the first part of her session, we leaned into a touch of 90s nostalgia, celebrating April’s car. It doesn’t have to be a sports car to be special — and this one is woven into her high school story in the best way. We picked a gorgeous back road bursting with fall color. Between her wardrobe, the scenery, and her incredible brown eyes, the images were the perfect blend of warm, classic, and totally April.

Next, we focused on something she loves deeply: reading. When she told me, “I want to be on a blanket surrounded by my books,” I said, “Done!” She brought stacks and stacks of them, and we created a cozy, dreamy reading scene at sunset. The sun rays, bold fall tones, and her stunning eyes made these images absolutely magical. And if you look closely, you may even spot a tiny bug friend joining the moment — April is definitely more bug-friendly than I am!

April, thank you — and thank you to your family — for such a wonderful senior experience. Your session was filled with personality, creativity, and so much heart. It was a joy getting to know you, meet all your sweet pups, and photograph the pieces of your life that matter most to you. I can’t wait to see where your next chapter takes you.
